about the author
Rebecca has a double STEM degree (Physics & Applied Mathematics) from the University of Michigan, and currently designs digital products for a living from her home base—and home town—outside Chicago, IL.
She has been fascinated by history from a young age, and spent middle school through early college studying Latin—including participating in the little known “sport” of Certamen (a quiz bowl for Latin and Roman history).
In her (positively abundant) free time, she has found an audience to talk about writing, fantasy and design on both Instagram and YouTube. When not writing, building online community, and reading, she enjoys the tactile nature of crochet, drawing her characters, and cooking with her fiancé.
She is always up to geek out on the technology of ancient civilizations, the third law of thermodynamics, and the power of stories.
Darker than the Starless Night is her first novel.
